Minha Sopa de Ervilhas {My Pea Soup}

Eu me silencio...

{Out of the blue, It started to get cold, which I love. I have various comfort blankets, all texturized,
like hugs.
I love wrapping them up around me and enjoy a Sunday in front of the telly...I grow quiet...
Making use of this quiet moment, I decided to make one of my favourite soups: pea and bacon.
The vegetarians can exchange the bacon for a cubbed onion. It is delicious...}

Minha receita:
 2 xícaras de ervilhas secas e lavadas
3 fatias de bacon
2 dentes de alho picados
1 folha de louro
1 cubo de caldo de vegetais {sem glutamato monossódico ou gordura}

Processar metade do líquido e devolver à panela. Ajustar o sal e pimenta.

{My Recipe:}
2 cups dried peas {washed}
3 strips bacon {chopped}
2 chopped cloves of garlic
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon of Marigold Bouillon
boilling filtered water
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Whilst you prepare the ingredients, let the peas soak in abundant water. Fry the bacon on its own fat e add the garlic just before the bacon begins to get crunchie. Mix for 30 seconds and add the drained peas to the pan with the bay leaf. Add the boiling water until it covers the peas plus another extra 4 cm. Add the bouillon. Cook it in low heat until the peas are cooked. Liquidize half of the peas and put it back to the pan. Adjust the seasoning. Serve very hot, with croutons or left over polenta, on a very pretty bowl, one that is easy to hold very close to your body. This helps you avoid that the soup gets too cold before you eat it. Besides not spilling anywhere, this helps you to have the soup in an immediate manner...}
